This holiday season is all about mushrooms!  Mushroom soup, mushroom appetizers, mushroom EVERYTHING!  Really.  You can add mushrooms to just about anything.  We put together some fun and easy ways to incorporate mushrooms into your holiday festivities to knock your guest's socks off.

First, doctor up your favorite cream of mushroom soup!  That's right, take any regular cream of mushroom soup and make it "WOW" your friends and family.

  • Your favorite cream of mushroom soup (homemade recipe HERE
  • Red pepper flakes
  • 8 oz. Monterey® Baby Bella Mushrooms, sliced
  • Creme Fraiche (homemade recipe HERE)
  • 1 tbl Extra virgin olive oil
  • Fresh thyme

Heat up a sauce pan and add 1 tbl of extra virgin olive oil.  Add 8oz sliced Monterey Baby Bella Mushrooms.  Sautee until golden brown and set aside.  Add cream of mushroom soup into the same sauce pan and heat up.  Chop 3/4 of the sliced Monterey Baby Bella Musrhooms and stir into your soup with 1 tsp of chili flakes.

Serve with a scoop of creme fraiche, chili flakes, thyme, and your remaining sliced Monterey Baby Bella Mushrooms on top.
